Professional Conduct in Relation to Taxation (PCRT)

MMP takes PCRT responsibilities extremely seriously, and rigorously follows, respects and adheres to those principles and standards.

With all the changes in the R&D Tax landscape to combat abuse while supporting genuine innovative businesses, it is critical that you choose the right partner to work with.

The issued (June 2020) topical guidance has added clarification of how PCRT applies to R&D Tax reliefs. You can read the latest information below:

Anti Money Laundering (AML)

MMP fully adheres to this updated guidance. The firm is fully compliant with Anti Money Laundering (AML) legislation. All staff regularly receive AML training, pass examinations, and meet their obligations under the legislation.

Data Protection

MMP is also registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as per the terms of the Data Protection Act. We work to GDPR regulations, implementing 'duty of care' procedures to manage all aspects of the legislative requirements in full.

ISO9001

These, along with all other processes and procedures, are covered by and certified to the ISO9001 Quality Management System standard.

Our policies

MMP adopts a forward-thinking view to inclusivity, and we include this approach in our training, policies and manuals, as well as our adherence to the Modern Slavery Act.

Modern Slavery

Our statements on the Modern Slavery Act are made pursuant to s.54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and set out the steps that MMP has taken, and continue to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour.

MMP Tax Limited has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings, and we use effective safeguarding systems and controls.

Professional competence to act

The MMP team has specialised in IP technology and tax incentive claims since 2001, the founders having worked together in this field for more than 15 years. Our technology consultants hold the professional competence(s) to carry out eligibility assessments and specific supervision/training in the criteria, as well as academic qualifications (to a minimum of Bachelor's degree level) in science and/or technology from recognised and highly-regarded universities.

MMP Tax has been represented on the Government's R&D consultative committee (now the communication forum) and Patent Box working group since they were first established.
